The atelier
A sculptor’s discipline, applied to furniture.
ORSOLIVA was founded in 2016 by Elena Vannini, a sculptor who left gallery commissions to make objects people could live with every day.

From the gallery to the living room
Elena spent a decade showing marble sculpture in Milan and Paris. Collectors loved the work; visitors kept asking the same impossible question — “but where can I put it?” The answer, she decided, was to make sculpture that lives on a side table instead of a plinth.
ORSOLIVA’s first collection was six pieces. Three sold to a hotel in Lake Como before the varnish dried.
A stone should be finished when it is honest, not when it is perfect.— Elena Vannini, founder

Ateliers we know by first name
Every ORSOLIVA piece is produced within 120 km of Florence: travertine cut in Tivoli, brass cast in a Veneto foundry that has served churches for four generations, velvet woven in Como.
We visit each workshop monthly. When your order arrives, it carries the marks of the hands that made it.

Pieces that outlive trends
We release two collections a year — a discipline borrowed from fashion, a restraint borrowed from sculpture. Nothing is discontinued out of boredom; each piece earns its place in the catalogue.
Should your piece ever need care, our atelier offers refinishing for life.
Trends are a debt. Material is an asset.— Elena Vannini, founder
Quarried, not cast
Genuine Carrara-adjacent marble, Roman travertine and onyx — each slab selected by hand for veining and tone.
Fourth-generation craft
Brass founders, velvet weavers and stonemasons whose families have supplied Italian interiors for a century.
Care for life
Every ORSOLIVA piece can return to the atelier for refinishing. Stone re-polished, brass re-patinated, velvet re-tensioned.
